Camp Areté Youth Bible Camp! BTW... what does the word “Areté” mean?

The name “Areté” comes from the ancient Greek word aretē (ἀρετή), meaning excellence, virtue, or moral excellence. It refers to a person living up to their highest potential and fulfilling their purpose with excellence. The Apostle Peter encouraged believers to diligently “add to your faith virtue (aretē), to virtue knowledge, to knowledge self-control, to self-control perseverance, to perseverance godliness, to godliness brotherly kindness, and to brotherly kindness love. For if these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 1:5–8, NKJV).

What are the dates and opportunities for Camp Areté in 2026?

For 2026, Camp Areté offers a Monday Night Bible Study at 7:30 p.m. central time every Monday, and the main camp dates are July 19–25 in Tennessee. You can register for Bible Studies and check out the Blog for more information.
